New Zealand baconer pigs: Market firm.” The above report was received on Saturday by the Meat- Board from its London office. DAIRY PRODUCE. BUTTER FIRM AT 77/78/-. Aftqr a quiet opening the London butter, market showed a further improvement last week, and New Zealand salted closed firm at 77/- to 78/-, an advance of 2/- on the week. The Dairy Board’s London office advises that small shipments of Australian, New Zealand and Danish butter are being made to New York this week, besides direct shipments from the Continent. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week were 2090 tons, compared with 1701 .tons a year ago, while Australian deliveries totalled 3055 tons against 1762 tons a year ago. The Imperial Economic Committee’s estimated stocks of all butters in store is 45,691 boxes, compared with 1,009,216 boxes a. year ago. The quantity of New Zealand butter in store 5917 tons, compares very favourably with the 11.112 tons of a. year ago, while Australian stored "butter totals 5024 tons against 6900 tons a. year ago. hide AND SHEEPSKIN SALEH. Messrs Murray, Roberts and bo., Wellington, report as follows under date April 5: —“Wo offered a catalogue ot» both skins and hides at today’s sale t,o' a good l attendance of buyers, who hid very keenly for all tots. Sheepskins were in good demand and prices were very firm on last sale’s lovely with a tendency to harden in price. Hides wore, strongly hid for by both exporters and tanners at prices fully up to those of last safe with a slight advance in kip and yearling for best grades. Calfskins also wore a little firmer, and 1 met. with a good demand. Tallow sold at par with last sale’is values,”
