Jrtuhert intends to ask the Marine Department to send the Maui Pomare 'to the Kermadec Islands and Tonga.; It is thought that the yacht might he proceeding, t-o Noumea and then to Suva, but according'to Captain Sergeant, harbourmaster at Auckland, the position cf the damaged boat indicated that the Korrisane was proceeding direct to Suva. The yacht carries an auxiliary engine and .sufficient,,benzine for HXri miles, and as the distance from Russell to Suva is about 1040 mi. ; e\ M. Joubert considers that the boat may arrive at Suva within the next two days.
