An anti-cyclone extends across tile north Tasman and northern New Zealand, while a series of slight western depressions is passing in the south. Winds: Southerly north ci Kav.hia andi Hast Cape; elsewhere northwest to westerly, moderate generally, but strong in places about and south of Cook Strait.
Seas (N.Z waters): Rather rough south of Ca.pe Egm.ont and in Cook and ' Fovcaux Straits; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman : Moderate to fresh northwest to west- winds, with modera to rather rough seas. Weather; A few scattered showers in western districts and the Far North and south ; otherwise the weather will ho fair to, mild.
