Mr Speaker pointed out that a number of the amendments were hreaches osf privilege of the House., as they were money matters, and purported to bind the C'roiwn. Mr Coates Said Mr Speaker’s ruling simplified' the matter considera,lily. He moved that certain amendments be agreed to as they were >mainly verbal, and this, wits carried. Air Coates then moved that the House disagree with ten amendments and' that Messrs Mason and Poison .pud the mover he appointed managers to confer with managers from the Legislative Council. The principal matters of disagreement were the provision that if members of the Court were unable to agree, the decision of the Judge would bo tlliC decision of the Court; and that no notice of desire to have a mortgagor's liabilities . adjusted can be given except by leave of the Court instead of the adjustment commisision. Another amendment removes the limit of the commencement of the budgetary period. In the clause dealing with tbe distribution of income received by the trustee on behalf of the mortgagor an amendment provid ing that the payment of compensation to the mortgagor should net. inflict undue hardship on the mortgagee iwas also disagreed with; and the deletion of the clause releasing a moi't gager who elects not to remain on the property, from obligations .under the mortgage, including personal covenant, is another matter in dispute as are provisions lor dealing with unsecured creditors. The council also disagreed with the provision making regulations to give effect to making the Act retrospective.
