TWELVE BOATS STILL MISSING. (U.P.A. bv Elec. Tel. Copyright.) BROOME. April 4. Nine more disabled pearling luggers have reached Broome, leaving 12 boats still missing. A. Japanese diver who was rescued from Lapeedc Island told how he and four others were -swept from the deck of a lugger by a huge wave. He reached the island a-tter being three hours in the water without seeing any more of the lugger or his comrades. For nearly a week lie lived on ovsters. bird-v eggs, and water from rock holes. A body which was not. identified was found on the island and buried there.
