The contributions received were; Public subscriptions £7 11s'; Fawn, County Council £5 ss; Waiap u County Council £5 ss: Wnikoliu County Council £25; Cook County Council £3O; ITar l>er Hoard £4-1 ; Borough Council £SO: Matakaon County Council £2 10s; Justices of the Peace Association £1 Is; Gisborne IPS.A. £j Is; Chinese Club £1 Is; Licensed Vict.uaUers’ Association £5 os; Te Polio-o-lvUiwiri Association £5; Gisborne Wool brokers’ Association £lO 10s. Materials .recovered' and taken into stock by iho Borough Council were valued at £9 2s yd for which credit Is given to the reception committee and . the total value of subscriptions and material was £202 (is Sd. Tbe balance of ,£72 IDs 9d will be reclaim ed from the Government.
