CHILD MIGRATION
BRITISH SOCIETY BUY LAND ON VANCOUVER ISLAND. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. 15, 7.10 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 14. As the result of an appeal by the Prince of Wales, the Child Emigration Society’s fund has reached £60,000 from which the society purchased one thousand acres at Vancouver Island and established at Fairbridgc a farm school, similar to that in Western Australia.
The Times, in a leading article, says that child emigration is the only form of organised settlement in the Dominions which lias survived the "recent difficult years.
