PURCHASE
An outstanding .addition to the smaller craft on tlie harbor front i s a handsome erui'sing launch landed from the Pukoko yesterday from Auckland to the order of Air. L. Illingworth, of Russell street. The vessel is 24ft long, with a. 7$ ft beam and has a Chrysler model engine, <v! 23 h.p. She has a spool; of 12 knots when cruising. She i s built of mottled kauri with flared bow'; and is of tho latest American design), with a .Y----idiapcd hull, and draws about two feet On hoard 1 there is sleeping accommodation for four, but she will carry 15 or 16 passengers comfortably. The vessel is fitted with electric light throughout. It is Mr. Illingworth’s intention to use the vessel as a cruising launch and for pleasure fishing. He took the vessel out for a trial run yesterday, and is more than pleased with bis purchase.
