The courageous action of a girl aged 12), probably 'saved tlio life of a farm hand at. RaHaia who was attacked by a bull oii Sunday evening.; The farm hand, D. Hopkins, noticed the bull feeding on a. straw stack on the farm of Mr W. G. Reading early in the evening. Hopkins tried to chase, the bull away, but',, as ho drew near, it charged him;, ancT knocked him down. With great fury the hull began to attack-the injnred man savagely. Hopkins bad' the presence of mind to grasp the ring in the hull’s nose, but the animal became even more enraged, an'i. stamped viciously at. the prostrate man. Hopkins was injured in th chest and stomach, hut held on. till the ring slipped from the bull’s nose.
