Acclaimed as one of the most delightful lyrical romances ever produced on stage or screen, tho -outstanding picture, “Blossom Time” is attracting crowded and cnt.husiajstic audiences to the Regent. To those who appreciate -high-class operatic singing, as well as to those who demand a really entertaining film, “Blospom Time” is a sheer joy. The story is based on the colorful life of Franz -Schnbort the famous composer, and the celebrated German tenor, Richard Tauber, ably fills this difficult role. A notable feature of the film is the fact that it marks the flint time that Tauber has sung in Engish on the screen. Ho sings eight of Schubert’s best-known songs including “Hnyk, Hark, tho Lark”, “Thine is My Heart”, “Rod Roses” and “March Militaire. There are many excellent scenes of Vienna at tho height of its splendour, and the film should prove a rare treat for all types of audiences. An, excellent first part includes a clever cartoon in color, “Brave Tin Soldiers”. “Blossom Time” will be screened up to and including Friday and on Saturday the rollicking laugh ter-laden musical farce “Those Were the Days” featuring Will Hay and a big cast- .will commence a- three-day season.
