GENERAL ELECTION.
ABOUT NOVEMBER NEXT YEAR. HON. E\ A. RANSOM’S OPINION. (Press Assc-MatioiO DANNEVIRXE, Nov. .13. Asked whether he could state when the general elections are likely to take place, the Hon. E. A. Ransom said that although the question had been talked about individually by Ministers, it had never been officially discussed by the Cabinet. “There is.no justification for the statements that an election will follow the short session jn February,” he said.
Mr Ransom was of the opinion that Parliament would run it s full course, and that the elections would take place at about the usual time next year, probably in November.

A meeting, of. 40 delegates from branches of the Labor Party in tho Waipawa. '.’electorate- at the week-end decided to contest the sent at- the next election. Tho candidate will he announced later.
