Saturday was the biggest day in tlie centenary programme so far. Many important events were run simultaneously. The aerial pageant at LaVei’ton attracted 100,000 who witnessed a thrilling display by aircrait of peace and war, including the bombing of a model ship erected in tlie aerodrome. The centenary air race winner .attended; , and wiis presented with the prize 'cheques and trophies by the Duke. In conjunction with the pageant o giant barbacuo was field when 27 bullocks were roasted at open fires and distributed amongst .the visitors... , At tlie showgrounds, the iiavy, military and Air Force; gave a gymkhana in wliicli were seen spectacular, displays by cavalry, infantry, artillery, •armoured cars 'arid naval gunners. The Duke had a busy day attending the above, and also attended the Flbnlington races, and a. dinner in the Toym .jjali by the Soldiers’. League, at which more than 009 soldiers attended.
