BLAZE IN ARMORY.

Nov. 8. - A report furnished 1 to the police indicates that an attempt was made to burn down the ‘armory at Christy .hurcli Boys’ High School early yesterday morning. Shortly before 6 o'clock, a grounds, man, when going to collect horses, passed a corner of the armory, which i.s a wooden shod. At that time there was no • sign of tire. When ho returned a quarter of’ an hour later, smoko wasi issuing from the armory in which are stored 500 rifles values! it several thousand pounds. The groundsman and caretaker with r.lie aid of a hose, were able to •iubdue the flames, which were breaking through the floor iu three places.
