Lord Londonderry, proposing the toast of the “United Empire” emphasised the need for a strong and efficient air force consonant- with tho responsibilities which Britain’s central position imposed. He expressed the conviction that no international agreement wuohl survive if based on the belief that air fighting could possibly be abolished.
