'For the first 'time since the establishment of the mission at Putiki, near Wanganui, over 90 years ago, a Maori clergyman has been appointed! to take charge of the work. This is the Rev. Patohana Kokiri, who was introduced to . a gathering in Moutoa Gardens last week by Canon W. €f.' "Williams, The Rev". M, Kokiri was stationed for many years in the Waiapu diocese, and before going to Putiki iwas in the Wai ranapa district for 15 years.
