FRENCH DEFENCE
BILL TO VOTE OVER £27,000,000. SPECIAL PROVISION FOR AIR FLEETS. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received March 11, 5 p.m.) PARIS, March 11. The French Government tables a bill authorising the expenditure of £27,885,000 for defences, comprising £14,700,000 on frontier defences, £1,560,000 on the construction of liquid fuel depots and coastal defences; £11,625,000 to equip the air force on the principle of quality rather than quantity, including a first line for the air fleet to be ready for immediate action.
