There is action .and suspense in every foot, of the 9000 feet long film “King Kong”. The story, set. in the. steaming jungles of a> tropical island, in the first part, and in the ultra-civilised Now York in the latter part, is .probably the • most fantastic ever conceived, by a scenario writer. Imagine yourself set on an unknown island where only a pitiful stone wall separates a savage tribe from fearsome prehistoric monsters —tryannossauri, atlantosayrj, stegosauri, end last but not least, and most- fearsome 0 f all—“ Kong.” The motions, breathing and even fighting of the monster*, make thrilling entertainment. Kong s moods,’.his exaltation at the close. o* a battle with a t.vrannosarus. his wonderment;- at the beauty of his latest’captive, ■ and hi s reactions to the stimuli of civilisation are reproduced with wonderful detail. His last- defiant gesture 1 as after wreaking death and destruction in New Aork, he ’ s liur'ed to lu’s death from the top of a skyscraper, is typical of Kong, fearless and ruthless- There will be four sessions on Saturday, 2 p.m., 5 p.m... 7.30 p.m. and a midnight matinee at 10 p.m.
