A big fawn-colored cat-like beast which resembles a lioness is reported to be roaming the rugged outback country of Gnngah, Gippsland. For 12 months people living in ” Trafalgar district have reported, at various times, having seen a mysterious animal, but all efforts to trap it have failed. Last, week Gcorgo Siggins, and his two sons, who conduct a farm on the outskirts of GunyUli, were walking across a paddock, when they were stopped by ■ a strange snarling call about 400 or 600 yards away. They say they saw a huge beast moving slowly in tile bracken. It had a. cat-like| head, and its body ■ appeared to bo about 6ft, long.
