“The Woman Accused” is a. modern problem play—a type of writing which Zane Grey has consistently avoided for yarns of the West. For three decades he has steadily refused editors’ requests for this type of material from his pen. The -story centres around Nancy Carroll, who, on the eve of her wedding to Cary Grant, is confronted by a- forme:- love*’, who demands that she return to him. When she refuses to have anything further to do with him, he picks up the telephone-, calls a gangster acquaintance, and requests him to kill Grant. Before he can mention the latter’s name however, Miss Carroll, hysterical, has struck him over t-he head with a bronze figure-. Then to her horror, sho discovers that she has killed, him. John ITalliday, friend of the slain man, follows when -she flees aboard u steamship bound for a week-end pleastir,e- cruise and a dramatic climax occurs. The second feature “Silent Men”, starring Tim McCoy. To-morrow the sensational dramatic romance, “Billion Dqllar Scandal will be screened. An outstanding cast is headey by Robert Armstrong, Constance Cummings and Frank Morgan.
