FIRE BRIGADES
COMPETITIONS AT 'WAIROA. Representatives of fire brigades at Hastings, Napier, Tomoana, Havelock North arid AVairoa gathered at the last-named centre on -Saturday for competitions open to Hawke’s Bay brigades. Superintendent J. Kane, Deputy-Superintendent Alex Thomson and the secretary, Mr. !>. L. Ferguson, of the Gisborne brigade, were three of the judges.
