SUMMARY AND FORECAST. ’ \ (Press Association} WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. General Situation. A very slight anti-cycolue is passing north of New Zealand, while a westerly depression advancing from the Tasman is already crossing the South Island. Forecast. Winds: Moderate to strong west to north-west north of Otago, but a change to strong southerlies extending from the South over the whole Dominion during the next twentyfour hours. Seas: Rough on the west coast; rather rough to rough on the east coast. Eastern Tasman.—Moderate to strong southerly winds, rather rough to rough seas. Weather : Becoming unsettled, with rain in most districts. Temperatures cold ; some hailstorms and snow on the high levels; morning frosts inland in the south.
