_« PAT HANNA’S “DIGGER?” A varied and entertaining ail Australian Programme is now being screened, at the Regent. The leading feature, appropriately enough, bears the title of “Diggers” and stars Pat Hanna. George Moon. Ed. Warrington, Cecil Scott. Neil Fleming, etc. It. is a six-reel comedy production personally directed by E. W. Timing. ‘‘Diggers”, as the tname implies, is the story of the Australian soldier, a loveable chap, who has justly earned the plaudits of the world, not Only for his bravery, but (for his remarkable sense of humor. Rut the action of this picture centres mainly about the 'lighter side of things. In the most tragic moments there is always a fine streak of wholesome comedy. This has been ably extended by uni director and the result is a work of wonderful comedy, with occasional pathos. Tn addition, tho supports, include Jack O’Hagan in some songs at the piano, Moon and Ray, dancers, Ada Reeve, Minnie Love, 3tend! Trio, and to round off a wonderful hill there is a splendid sound scenic of the beautiful city of Melbourne. To-morrow the daring comedy ot beauty and brilliance. “Reunion hi Vienna” starring Diana YVynyard, star of “Cavalcade”, John Barrymore, Frank Morgan, and May Robson .will bo presented.
