Racing commenced with the Grey Lynn High weight for which Tatyoon, the Ornamentni-Conrthaven bracket, and Vei’sant wore most in request. V errant was soon m front, find stayed there Along the hack ho wa.s attended by Black Marlin, Wee Pat, Tatyoon and Valueless. Versanf. was the first to turn for homo from Black Marlin, Tatyoon. Full Measure and C'oin'thaven. Tatyoon then challenged, hut stopped half way down, and Versa nt went or to win easily hy four lengths from Black Ma-Gin, who heat Loombination by ihi'oequai-fors of a length with'Court haven.
