A series of shallow westerly depressions continue to cross the Souto Tasman and southern New Zealand, but the; last is likely to pass tomorrow, pressure having risen considerably over southeastern Australia, Winds.—Northcrlios moderate to strong generally still reaching gale force in places, hacking to the west and later to the south-west.

Eastern Tasman Sea :—Moderate to strong winds hacking to west, a n d later southwest; seas moderate in the northern portion, elsewhere rough. Weather:—Fair to fine in the eastern districts, elsewhere cloudy to overcast; scattered rain; more general rain likely during the week-end. Temperature warm, becoming cooler tomorrow.
