The Sunday Times says that Britain and France have reached a complete agreement on the Four Power pact. \ France is now communicating the terms to Poland and the Little Entente, whose acquiescence is expected. These is every probability of the pact guaranteeing European peace for ten years. It will be signed this week. terms OF'four- POWER. FACT. REVISION OF PEACE TREATIES GERMAN ARMS CLAIM

Tire first intimation that Signor Mussolini was endeavouring to arrango a Four-Power Pact was given to the world on the occasion of the visit of the British Prime Minister, Air Ramsay MacDonald, and tho For* eign Secretary. Sir John ISlijnon, to Signor Mussolini in March last.

It was seubscquontly announced that the terms of the Pant- included the following articles Article 1 states that the four Western Powers, Germany, Franco, Great Britain and Italy, undertake to carry out jointly an effective policy of collaboration for the maintenance of peace rin accordance with the spirit of the Kellogg Pact, and the ‘‘no force” pact, and in the field of European relations -they agree to take steps, should the necessity arise, for the adoption of this policy of peace by the other States.

Articlo 11. says that the four Powers endorse the principle of the revision of the Peace Treaties in, accordance with the clauses for this in the orient of situations arising likely to result in a conflict between the States. At the same time they declare that the principle of revision shall ho applied only within the -framework of tho League of Nations in a spirit of mutual understanding and solidarity and reciprocal interests.

Article 111. says that France, Great Britain, and Italy declare that iii the event of the Disarmament Conference reaching only partial decisions, the equality of rights accorded to Germany is to be given effect to, and Germany undertakes to lying this equality of rights by stages to be determined by successive arrangements to be concluded! between tine four Powers through the ordinary diplomatic channels. The four Powers undertake to come to an understanding in the same sense with, regard to Austria, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Article IV. says that- in all political and non-political questions, both. Euro pcan and extra-European, and including colonial matters, tho four Powers hind themselves to follow as far as possible a common line of conduct. Article V. provides that this political agreement of on ten to and collaboration, which will, if necessary, he submitted for the approval of the respective Parliaments within a period of three months, is to bo for a term or 10 years, and if is understood to be legally renewed! for a similar period unless notice of its termination is given by one of the high contracting parties a year before it is due to expire.

Article VI. says 1 lint the Pact is lo bo registered with tho Secretariat of tho League of Nations.
