The Pxfixne Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons in the House of Representatives, outlined works being commenced shortly by the Commonwealth and State Governments to relieve unemployment. Tlio States will spend £12,000,000 on reproductive works in 1933-34. Commonwealth works include the budding of a naval sloop and a cordite factory in Victoria.
Thie Sydney Morning Herald • says provision is being made in the Budget for a big .building programme for Canberra, ftvith tlie object of transferring public servants from Melbourne. Money also will be spent on the com struction and improvement of aerodromes and the strengthening of coar tal defences.
