TRADE CONDITIONS TO BE INVESTIGATED (Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 26Representatives of all interested in the city milk supply met representatives of local bodies to-day, the Mayor, Mr G. W. Hutchison, presiding. It was decided to appoint a committee to investigate the conditions of the milk trade ‘in Auckland, and to frame machinery for the institution of a milk council, which would govern the milk and cream trades in ine metropolitan area, and report- bacK to a further conference.

In opening the conference, the Mayor said the position was so acute that failure to reach an agreement would be disastrous to the milk industry.
