Members of the crew of the interstate steamer Aeon, who have been, working for six months or more, gave the owners 24 hours’ ,notice that .they tintendl to allow unemployed members .of the Seamen’s Union to take their places for month. The ration scheme confirmed by a special meeting of the Seamen’s Union is thus put into effect. V.
A. special meeting of the Seamen’s Union, in Sydney, on May 4,. decided to,introduce rationing of employment. A resolution was carried to compel all. seamen after being employed! on a vessel for six months to stand down for one month. ■ '
