The resignation takes effect on July 1, at tho completion of Ills full term of service. Mr Cut-ten is at present en route to Eugland on extended leave D f absence. He was appointed magistrate in 1908. Mr Wyveni Wilson has been appointed the new senior stipendiary magistrate in Auckland as from July l. Ho will also take over Mr Cut ten’s post as president of the Children’s Court. Mr Wilson who has for some years past been stationed at Hamilton, has been relieving Mr Cut ten since his departure some weeks ago. Mr Wilson was born in Gisborne, and was educated in Auckland. He was appointed magistrate 22 years ago.

He was educated at Newcombes’ Church of England Grammar School, and later entered Auckland University. lie conmiquced his legal career by being articled to Mr Samuel Jackson, Auckland, and later was admitted to the Supreme Court- as .a barrister and! solicitor. Ilis magisterial career commenced in 1911 when he was appointed to tho Wanganui bench.
