Captain Ludovic Arrachart, one ol France’s greatest airmen, vas killed at Chartres during a trial flight. Reeves, shot down ■ six times during his World War aviation career, in which he escaped with nothing more serious than a sprained ankle. died recently of ’influenza, at the age of 33. Reeves, who was vice-president of the National Air Sendee Inc., of Detroit. U.S.A.. was born in Belfast, Ireland, and joined the Royal Naval Air Service in 1915, at the age of 15, rising to the rank of captain. He received a- Distinguished Service Flying Cross for leading 13 successful bombing raids over the German lines iwithin a- few days. He was cited officially with bringing down four ’planes, and Bis ankle was sprained when a mach-ine-gun bullet- struck his shoe.
