P.B. REFEREES
FORMATION OF ASSOCIATION
As the result of a meeting of hockey referees held on Monday evening, it was decided to form a Poverty Bay Hockey Referees’ Association, and to seek application with the parent body. Thoso present were Messrs P. Sim, J. Henderson, M. Pore, B. Tulioo, A. McLean, C. Davy, F. Gavin, G. Corbett, G. File, G. Gra'ham, C. Birkenshaw and G. Quinn. After the resolution deciding on the formation of the association had been carried, officials were elected as follows: President, Mr P. Sim; chairman, Mr J. Henderson; hon. secretary, Air G. Quinn; committee, Messrs C. Birkenshaw, G. Corbett, and M. Pere; delegate to tire Poverty Bay Hockey Association, Mr G. Corbett. The selection of an appointment committee was held over till next mcet-
lb was decided that wherever possible a uniform consisting of a white sweater and grey flannels should be adopted by tho referees. The following members were enrolled: Alessrs J. Henderson, T. Turbitt, E. AlcGuiuess, O. Birkenshaw’, T. File, P. Sim, J. Turbitt, AI. Pere, G. File, B. Tuhoe, C. Davy, H. Srvan G. Corbett, G. Graham, A. AlcLean, and G. Quinn. It was decided that meetings should be held in Le Grande Lounge at 7 p.m. each Tuesday.
