INSURANCE CASE DROPPED
. TWO MEN ACQUITTED. / (U.P.A. by Elec, Tel. Copyright) (Received May 22, 11.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 22. The Crown is not proceeding with the cases against Oswald Eire Corkhill and William Tkadeus Page of the Associated Dominions Assurance Company, and both men.have been acquitted.
The two men, who were respect!ve--1 v manager and secretary of the company, were charged with having circulated and published a balance sheet which was allegedly false in certain material particulars in that 46 was stated that tiie assets of the company were £'236.241, the ‘Crown contending that the men then well knew the particulars to be false with intent to deceive and dcrr&ed shareholders in the company.
