Reports from all parts of the city and suburbs disclose heavy damage as a result of this evening’s deluge, when two inches of rain fell in an hour -and 31 inches in two hours. It is still pelting down, causing the flooding of all low-lying areas . Damage estimated at £2OOO was caused at a Waterloo factory, whene the stock was drenched. Muter rose to four feet ou Anzac Parade, Randvvick. Most of the racecourses and football grounds are under water. There were numerous street mishaps with motor-cars out of action. A workman was mangled by a tram on Harbor Bridge owing to bad visibility. Three persons were knocked down by trams for the same reason.
