THROUGH STOCK DRIVING PROHIBITED. A notice appearing m the advertisement columns of this issue, draws attention to the ‘Waioeka Highway fStock By-laws which have recently teen passed by the Main Highway* Board. The by-laws were published in .the Gazette on May 4, on which dav they came into force. The purport' of- thd by-laws is “ prohibit the through driving of cmtie on the Waioeka road and the Gisborne-Opotik'i "via Waioeka mam highway. Provision is made for xhc appointment of persons to enforce the provisions of the by-laws and ror the ascertainment °f offenders. - penalty of £5 is provided for tho breach thereof.
