Armed polico and militia ringed the Fascist stadium hours before the kick-off in the Anglo-Italian soccer contest to prevent tbo rushing of the gates. There was tremendous interest ini the match, and 50,000 were present. The band played the Fascist hymn when Signor Mussolini arrived and stood for a minute with arm outstretched at the salute, turning from side to side in recognition of Sir Ronald and Lady Graham, who were beisido Signor Mussolini. The match was a ding-dong strug-. : ’lo,g( hut both sides finished poorly, fcho Italians missing four excellent chances. The result iwas a draw, one goal apiece.
