LORDS APPROVE SELECT COM--MITTEE MOTION PERSONNEL OF BOTH CHAAIBERS ANNOUNCED. (Received April 7, 7.10 p.m.) (O.P.A. by Elec. Tel- Go ay right! LONDON, April 6. Tho House of Lords, without division, approved of a motion to refer the AVliito Paper on India to a Select Committee of both Houses. Afr Winston Churchill declined to serve on the committee.
The House of Commons appointed a joint committee to consider the White Paper on India, composed of Sir Samuel Hoarc, Mr. R. A. Butler, Sir John Simon. Sir Austin Chamberlain, Mr. ,1. C. C. Davidson, Lord Eustace Percy, F.arl Wintert-on, Sir ,T. Wardlaw-Milne, Sir R. Craddock, Colonel Nall. Hon. Mary Pickford, (Government) ; Mr. Isaac Foot (Lib.) and Major Attlee, Mr. Morgan-. Tones and Mr. F.'Cocks (Labour). The House of Lords representatives are: Baron Sankey, Marquis of Lothian, Marquis of Reading, Earl Peel, Marquis of Salisbury. Viscount Burnham, Lord Rankcillour, and Lord Snell. Lord Lloyd and Lord PageCroft refused to serve.
