Though the Free State polls will he taken oil Tuesday, the greatest uncertainty as to the outcome still prevails. The full results will not be known till the week-end.
Both Cosgrnveit.es and Government-cum-Labor claim that they will have 82 to 85 members. *
A heavy pel' is likely. The opinion is growing that the election will result in a stalemate, with another appeal to the country soon. Dr. Duvitt, the Cosgravo Party candidate for Meath, declared that Mr. Ryan and Air. O’Kelly brought from Ottawa a draft settlement with Britain, which Air. Do Valera refused. “Why does Mr. Do Valera not produce that secret settlement?'’ asked Dr. Davitt, adding: “Because lie is afraid of gunmen.’*

Fifty persons were injured at- Air Cosgravc’s meeting held on Sunday night, when an orgy of stone-throw-ing broke out, largely because the road near the meeting place is under repair and provided a plentiful supply of ammunition, though a number were hurt in a series of' baton charges by the Civic Guards, who were called in to restore order. Tralee has long been a revolutionary centre.
The meeting was relatively small, but youths constantly interrupted Air Cosgravo with cries of “Up Republic!” Air Cosgravd*s loud speaker and talking film in his car was smashed. Three members of the White Army were knocked down and kicked, and twenty were taken to hospital.
