RELIEF WORKERS’ LUCK. THAMES, Jan. 21. A rich find of gold is reported from Coromandel. Two relief workers, Alessrs. A. S. Boswell and W. S- Sewell, who have been prC'SpccHng~'ht—the-hack- of—t o hills near the township in their spare time, discovered 18 months ago - the outcrops of tw.o reefs, which gave good indications. After driving 170 feet to one level and 15ft to another. they struck two reefs, 10 feet and. 8 feet wide, with ‘’mall leaders junctioning. The official assays were: 6oz. 4dwt 3gr., and Soz 4.dwt 3gr., respectively. The perseverance of these men habeen, remarkable... Working op relief in the day time, they have been driving and wheeling out quartz at night by’ candle, light. They were working some distance -from the heavy ous and had cut all the timber. Both men are jubilant at- their suc-op-s. A. large number of men is now out prospecting in adjacent area-.
