WILL IT BE INCREASED? PREMIER DECLINES TO BE DRAWN. (Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Jan. 17. Questioned concerning persistent reports that the Government, in order to assist the primary producers, was considering the advisability of increasing the exchange rate, the Prime Minister declined to discuss Cabinet’s deliberations. He stated that the country would be advised in due course of the details of the policy being framed and he was not prepared to make an advance statement.
