The adaptability of British industries in tlie face of changing civeuinstances. —largely responsible lor the fact that during the difficult conditions in the past year Britain maintained her trade position in several directions in which relatively now industries had been developed—will lie revealed in the exhibits of 2000 representative manufacturers whose products will lie displayed at next month’s British industries Fair in London and Birmingham. -Notable examples of the rapid expansion which the Fair will demonstrate are in connection with fruit and vegetable canning, can-making, and in hand leather goods trades.
