NOTES. The Avaimea now en route from Napier to Auckland, where she is to load to-day and to-morrow for Gisborne and Napier, ' will arrive here on Thursday to discharge. The Poolta is scheduled 1 to Joad at southern ports for Napier and Gisborne, leaving Dunedin and Oamaru to-morrow, working Tixnaru on Wednesday, Lyttelton Thursday, thence Wellington. She is due at Gisborne again about January 25’. ■ The Totara sailed' from Greymouth at 8.30 p.m. on'Thursday with coal for discharge here. She arrived here yesterday afternoon. The Kalingo is fixed to load at Sydney about the end of January and at Newcastle early in February, taking general cargo an.d coalfar Napier and Gisborne. The Kaimai is expected to load at Greymouth about ' January 20 with coal for Gisborne and is to proceed via Westport, New Plymouth and Napier. The Cumberland, which replaces the Northumberland, "is fixed to' load at Tokomaru Bay on or about 25th inst, taking frozen meat; wool and general cargo for London. The Pukeko sailed on Thursday afternoon for Napier, from which port she will proceed to Auckland to load there again 'to-day and to-morrow-for the Coast, Gisborne and Napier. The Koutunui will load at Lytt-el-to to-day for Waikokopu, Gisborne, and the Coast. • The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Caroline is due here to-day to load, frozen meat and butter for London. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s motor vessel Taranaki is expected here on Wednesday to load wool for London. Tile Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Pakeha, is expected here on Jan. 18 to. load frozen meat, butter, cheese, wool and tallow for Loudon.
