News was received by cablegram today of the death'in London oil January 1 of Mr. Alexander Mieliio, a member of the London board of directors of the Bank of New Zealand since 1907, and a member also of tlie London board of directors, of the New Zealand Shipping Company and Steam Ship Company, Mr. Mieliio was formerly well known in New Zealand banking and busiuess circles.
