LONDON, Jan. 2 'The British heavyweight champion, Jack iPetcrson, defeated the German, Hans Schonrath, who retired in the eighth round, at Cardiff in a fierce two-handed fight. Peterson dominated most of the rounds. Schonrath fought gamely, frequently penetrating the champion’s defence, hut tired under the . terrific pace. The heavy punishment also affected his eye, which wa* cut in the second round.
