Fry also being present. fn reply to w communication from the Gisborne Borough Council . re suggested date to open the Mcßae baths it was resolved -to recommend that the baths should be opened from October 1 to March 31 in every yea;, but on account of the unfavorable cold weather experienced until ‘lie end of September that the opening be delayed this season until to, say Gctlober 29. which would, obviate the council being faced with a working loss if the earlier part of October was ui-ilised. In regard to night .-.wnnin cr, this could bo conveniently delayed’ until about December 3. A sub-committee comprising Messrs H. A. Armstrong, D. Grade, E. M. Harvey, A. Anderson, and M. R. I'iy ,was elected to meet the Borough Council if required, on bath matters. The membership list was proved at. 197 and the annual report and accounts for the year ended September 30, 1932, were approved tor submission to the annual meeting, to be held in the Carlton Hall next Thursday evening. The action of the special committee in finalising matters in connec - ion with tho visit of ■ mors from the Maranui Club of At oiling lon, was approved and it was resolved that on endeavour be made for this premier life-saving dub ot New Zealand to give Practical demonstrations of beach work. \Vhen definite information was available tn ® co-operaiton of the AVaikanae Beach Society is to be sought by the club to arrange a suitable fixture when a display could be given.
