REPUBLICANS TO SUPPORT
PLANE IN PARTY'S PLATFORAI
WASHINGTON, June 5
Out of a conference of Republican chieftains to-day came the definite prediction from tho group’s spokesman, Senator Moses, of New Hampshire, of a prohibition re-submission plunk in the party’s platform-
“There will be a re-submission plank”. Senator Aloses said to news-: pa per men after the extraordinary conference of party leaders on the eve of the national convention. But lie emphasised, the net-ails had not been agreed upon for the prohibition declaration.
James Garfield, of Ohio, ulm will preside over the convention resolutions committee, also . stressed the point that the party platform and particularly the prohibition plank would not take definite form for. several days.

The question of liquor has become one of tho biggest problems of the Republicans, the Democrats and their Chicago convention hosts. A committee of 14- Republican Senators met in Washington to-dav to fashion among other things, a satisfactory platform upon prohibition. The plan most favored by the Republican cohorts calls for re-submission by Congress of the liquor question to the voters
