At the wool ‘sales, 11,446 h-bs were offered, including i3lO bales from New Zealand, and about 1000 soldNew Zealand sales : Scoured combing, Lake Top, 17$d, Ibid; greasy balfbred, Bingley, ]Old, 10.',d; .slipe lambs, Feilding, lid, 10.'d. . The sales closed with a steady tone. Merino, greasy, were slightly firmer than, at the opening; seraireds were firm at full opening rates.; crossbreds, fine, eased somewhat, and arc now about 10 per cent, below February prices; medium and < oar«<* are unchanged; slipes arc :n keen demand, though unchanged.
The total amount catalogued was 112,200 bales, iaud sales wferc as follows: Home market 48,500 bares; the Continent, 44,000 bales. The total quantity of Australian sold was 30.500 hales, and New Zealand 39,000 ha Los.

Home trade were principal operators. There .has been an improved Continental buying during the hist few days. especially Germany. As compared with closing rates of last series Greasy merino is id to 3d lower; scoured merino, par to id. lower; greasy half bred, -Jcl to Id* lower; greasy crossbred fine, 3d to Id lower; greasy cro'ssbred, medium and coarse id to 3d lower; scoured crossbred, id to 3d lower ; slipe, par to id lower ; lambs, greasy, unchanged. At the sales 112,000 bales were offered. Home trade have bought. 43,000 bales, and Continent 44,00.0 bales, the total, sold being 9-2,500 bales. The range of prices is as follows: Halfbred; 56-58, good to super, lid to 12d, .low.-to medium, Sd to 10£d; do., 50-56, good to super, 9cl to 10id; low t medium, 6id to Bid; fine crossbred 48-SQ. good to super, 63d to 9Jd, low to medium fijd to Sid; fine, crossbred bred, 46-48, good to .super, 6:jd to 6Jd, -jdow. to medium 4|d to 6d.; crossbred, 44-46, good to super, 53d to fi|d, low to medium, 41 d -to sid ; crossbred, 4044, good to super, s|d to 6d, low to| medium 4}d , to s}d; coarsb crossbred, 36-40, good to super, 5,1 d .to 53d, medium, to good, 43,d to sd.
