VAR9ITY BOAT RACECOURSE SHORTENED FOR TO- - (British Official AATrelcss) RUGBY, March 16. The University boat race will he rowed on Saturday morning over a course about 400 yards shorter than usual. Owing to structural alterations on the bridge which causes violent currents 'at the usual starting point, the authorities agreed that the race .should begin at a point opposite the London .Boating Club and that the finish should foe at the usual post at Mortlake.
