Kamet on Juno 30, is forming an expedition to climb Nnga Parbat, 26,624 feet, tho sixth highest mountain in the world, dominating the AYcstern Himalayas. Tho journal recalls the tragedy of 1895, when tho Alpinist Mummery, after reaching 20,000 feet, was killed by an avalanche with two Gurkhas, while crossing a neighbouring pass. CANADIAN "POLITICS. John Bracken, issued a statement to-day declaring that he favored Manitoba asking tlio Governments of Saskatchewan and Alberta to join the movement in seeking one Government for the three provinces.
