EUROPEAN SITUATION GOOD DEMAND FOR FOREIGN STOCKS BRITISH, CABINET STILL BUST (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Jan. 7. A more hopeful view of the European situation and the chances of "useful international co-operation at the furthcoming conference was shown on the Stock Exchange to-day, .{'most departments Being busy. Giltedged securities continued very firm. German bonds were again strong, arid several other foreign government : Issues were marked up. Homo industrials and banks were notably firm. Cabinet on Monday will hold its .first full meeting since the Christmas holidays to consider the statement of policy which the Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, will make at the plenary session of the Burma Conference on Tuesday. Matters in connection with the Reparations and : Disarmament Conferences will he considered by Cabinet on Wednesday.
Tho Prime Minister to-day received Sir Samuel Hoare, and afterwards had a conversation with Sir Eric Drummond.
India will bo represented at the Disarmament Conference by Sir Samuel Hoare, who will act as leader insofar as his Parliamentary and other duties may permit, the Aga Khan, and Sir Henry Wheeler, a member of the Council to India. They will ho accompanied by four expert advisers.
