APPOINTMENTS FOR SATURDAY.
The fortnightly meeting of the P.B. Cricket Umpires Association was held last evening when the Rev. AV-. J. Elliott presided over the following, Messrs. G. Price, F. J. Mace, Q.
Smythe, 0. It. Ols' ,n . and G. V. Lyjiex (lion, see rotary 7. Messrs. A. Guthrie and J. Wallace were admitted as members ol the association.
Umpires for Saturday’s games were appoill ted as foliows : Civil Service v. Gisborne, Rev. AY. J. Elliott and Mr. A. Guthrie; Turanganui v. Old Boys, Messrs. T. Sharp and F. J. Mace; City v. High School, Messrs. Cl Smytlie and-Rust. Reserve:- Mr. AY. Sharp. Second grade: Marist B v. Kaiti, at the Oval, Messrs. Wallace and Price; Marist A v. High School, at the school, Messrs. Town and Lynox.

Among other matters dealt with at the weekly meeting of the management committee of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, which was presided over by Mr. H. E. Maude, was the question of dates of the match n"ainst Doneghue’-s AVellington team during the holidays. After discussion, it was decided to write suggesting that the visitors play AVaiapu on December 27 and 28, and Poverty Rav on December 29, BO and 31. The selector, Mr. M. Guthrie, was asked to submit his selection to the next meeting of the committee. The secretary renorted that ho had telegraphed a challenge for tho Hawke Cun. hut that no reply had yet come to hand. The draw fur the week was made as follows : Thursday: Defence v. High School, Cash Stores V. Allcomers. Cwtimlay: Fir t grade.—Fit- v. Hindi School, Oral No. 1 : Ok) Bovs v. Turanganui, Oval No. 2 : Civ I Service r. Gisborne O'nli, fHml Ao. 3. Second grade.—Marist. B r. Kaiti. Oval No. 4 : Marist A v. High School, at- the school.
